Shade Tree Shelter

Shade Tree Shelter houses over 300 women and children in the Las Vegas, Nevada area.

What: Collecting Pajamas and Signing Books

When: Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Where: ReJAVAnate Coffee Lounge, 3301 E. Flamingo Rd., Las Vegas, NV
(Near Pecos, in the Food 4 Less Parking Lot)

Why: To provide abused and homeless women with clean and comfortable bedtime clothing because sometimes they arrive at The Shade Tree without them.

Shade Tree Shelter believes...
That no one should ever have to endure a state of homelessness, existing in fear for personal safety and without the means to meet even the most basic of human needs - food and shelter.
That every human being, regardless of social status, has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.
That all homeless children are victims because they lack choice and mobility.
That homelessness is a community problem that impacts everyone.
That everyone can be a part of the solution.
